Paper Locket maintains high standards for the protection of privacy over the Internet. The only information we obtain about individual visitors to this website is information supplied voluntarily by the visitor. It will not be sold or shared with any other persons, businesses, agencies, or organizations.

On occasion we do ask to showcase personal works of art. It is our practice to remove family names on all showcased samples.

We are committed to safeguarding your privacy. You can feel confident that your individually identifiable information will be protected.

Each card design has an 'ORDER' button. This will take you to an order form. Please feel free to email any questions you have prior to placing an order.

Canvas art has an 'ORDER' button. This will take you to our email address. Please contact us with your canvas request in detail.

  • About Photos

After placing your order you'll upload your photos. Please send high resolution jpegs - they should be at least 1500 pixels x 1200 pixels in size @ 300 dpi.

> Because we take great time in cropping, editing and photo fixing each photo - changing photos during the design process is subject to a $15 redesign fee. Be sure to submit all photos when your order is placed to eliminate this extra charge.

We can only work with copyright free photos. If a professional photographer has taken your photo(s) they must provide you with a release so you can freely use the images as you wish.

Touched up - We do our best to improve photos if necessary. We automatically look at: color quality, resizing the image, red-eye, & orientation. We'll probably crop your photo as well, just so it looks its best.

Color - We can keep your photos in full color or alter them to black & white, sepia, faded or a combination of these.

Once your order is placed our shopping cart will take you through a secure checkout. Wall art orders require a 50% advance payment via our online terminal. We accept Visa, Mastercard & Discover...as well as checks.

Our products are guaranteed. Your order will only be placed once you've approved the design. If there is a flaw or quality issue upon receiving your order please notify us within 24 hours and we will do everything we can to make it right. We have a money back guarantee!

  • How do I order Cards?

1. Select a design that appeals to you (we'll modify any design to fit your photos) - click on it.
2. Fill out our customizing order form, personalize your card by requesting alterations. It's okay if you don't know what you want ~ many customers trust us to create something perfect!
3. After payment, we'll provide you with a link to our photo form where you'll upload photos.

4. You'll receive an online proof in less than 48 hours - we won't print until you love your design! Orders print and ship in 2 - 3 business days.

Personalizing a Card Design

Our designs are not templates - therefore they are customizable! Any design can be transformed to fit 1 to 6 photos. The best way to shop Paper Locket is to select one of our exclusive designs that has the most appealing 'look' to you. Once your photos and desired content is submitted we'll begin to create your unique card. On your order you can be specific about what you're looking for. You can even combine designs together - maybe you like the colors of one design and the layout of another. We'll make it YOUR card - the card you LOVE!

> Important Note: we welcome modifications to our designs to suit your personal style, however, changing the design for another one during the design process is subject to a $15 redesign fee. Each card is made-to-order and requires a large amount of design time. Thank you for your understanding!

A Completely Custom design is an option for those who don't see a look they're looking for or have something special in mind.

Cards are printed professionally & come with a simple white envelope (unless otherwise stated).

We fully recommend using our pearlesant cardstock. It's magical and showcases photos and our designs perfectly! We do offer a smooth cardstock for a more traditional look.

  • Does it cost more to mail these cards?

No, the oversized postcards (5.5" X 8.5") only require standard postage.
Yes, the square cards (5" X 5") do require extra postage.

ART & AUCTIONS

  • How does this work?

The most popular auction canvas is our 24" x 36" piece.
We create a custom layout based on the number of children in the classroom.

For example, if there are 23 students:

the canvas will be divided into 24 squares. The extra 24th square can be used one for class or teacher information.

Each box would measure approximately 5"hx6"w & the bottom banner would measure 6" high and can contain a meaningful quote, such as:
"be yourself-By being yourself, you put something wonderful in the world that was not there before” Edwin Elliot"
& classroom/school info and year.

Art Process:
Give each student pre-cut squares of paper - 5x6" rectangles (or proportionately the same).

As for the medium - water colors on watercolor paper is beautiful!
Tell them to fill up the box with their face and add a nice background of color as well. Have them outline their face and features with a black sharpie.

Scan the portraits or send the batch to us to scan.
We require 3 days to design and 10 days for printing, shipping. So, plan on a safe lead time of 2-1/2 weeks to be safe.

Duplicates can be ordered at the same time (same size) at 50% off.
Smaller canvases make a great teacher gift and can also be ordered for a discount of 20% the list price.

Shop our gallery for special collection designs - or have us design a custom 'montage' using your favorite photos. Examples of a montage include: Travel, Art and My Voice. The 'montage' works beautifully for anniversary, birthday, grandparent and holiday gifts.

Custom Canvas Ordering Steps
when you have several photos from travels or a lifetime event a 'montage' design is a perfect choice! Each design is completely unique. We ask that you give us your vision of the design in advance - then allow us the creative freedom to artistically assemble your masterpiece! Your canvas will not be ordered until you have approved the design.

What size will you be ordering? Start out by determining the size of the space your canvas will be placed. Will a landscape or portrait orientated canvas fit the space best? If you have a huge wall consider breaking your design up into a collection of canvases. We can help you with this part as well.

How many photos will work on a canvas size? The more photos in the design the smaller they will appear. We ask that you send your primary photos (noting which ones need to be featured) and some extra images that we can use to fill in open spots with. For example a beach 'montage' can include some extra water and scenery shots for backgrounds or accents. So to get the best design we have some maximum recommendations shown below:

Payment - 50% is collected when we begin your design and the remaining is due upon final design approval.

Shipping - There is a flat $15 shipping charge on all orders.

Color of your photos: we can alter your photos see details here or leave them in full color.

  • Duplicates and discounts.
