Fun Photos at CAPERS in West Seattle

What a great way to kick off the holidays! Wow, CAPERS was full of cute kids and pups! Full of smiles for their holiday cards and wall art gifts.
If you haven’t been to  the Junction "with Gumption" lately, then you’re missing out on  the best of the best around town (oh, around the world I mean)! Yes, our event was a hit, but that’s not what I’m talking about. I have to share the West Seattle experience with everyone!

Lisa Myers’ store, CAPERS, is a community gathering place. Greet the locals, order a great rustic BLT (with pesto mayo) and shop for festive home decor and gifts. Why doesn’t every neighborhood have a  CAPERS? After leaving CAPERS, I walked a couple of blocks down California Avenue, to say ‘hi’ to Krista Means at Georgia Blu – we’re doing a free photo-to-canvas-art event there on October 20th. What a great European shop. I actually felt like I was in Paris again! What a treat that was.

Krista told me that I definitely had to visit Bakery Neavue, the neighboring world champion baker. Oh, yes, I did! At 3:00pm I actually had to stand in a long line to purchase some baked goods. I ordered a baguette and some twice baked almond croissants. What a treat! The baguette insisted that I nibble on it all the way home. Darnedest thing! I’m not sure what happened to the croissants.

I’m looking forward to my next Junction visit on October 20th! And looking forward to seeing some happy holiday faces at Georgia Blu!

Holiday Card Designs – just added to the gallery!

Sassy_sm_2 What’s going on in the studio? New designs are ‘going on’! Here is a peak at a few new ones just added to our holiday gallery. More and more to come!!

Remember, any design can be altered to fit your photos, and design preferences – like favorite fonts and colors.

(above – Sassy & below – Gracious + a variation)

Gracious_smIn the first two designs, the images have been altered to appear a bit faded. These would really look great on metallic photo paper! {images provided by melissa henninger photography}

A simple variation to the Gracious design. Many more examples of design variations will soon be added to the website. Check back often!

Spooky Cards

Fright_2This cutie was caught on camera by henninger photography at an Urban Monkeys‘ & Paper Locket !SNAP photo2art event.

What a great expression – that can easily be re-created by any lil’ poser. There is still time for Paper Locket to turn your snapshots of 1 or more kiddo’s into simple Halloween greetings.

Oh, and what about that Halloween party you’re going to throw?

    Great Idea>
Invite the neighborhood over for a
    SOUP, STEW & CHOWDER party!

It’s a simple gig – just provide some rustic bread, festive beverages, lots of mugs and spoons. Then ask each guest to bring their family’s famous ‘soup’ to share. After everyone is done sampling all the wonderful soups (yum!) the crowd is off to trick-or-treat the neighborhood.

So you say you might need an invitation for a ‘spooky party’?? Spooked_invitation_sm_2
